Sports applications on a 10-foot experience are a strong driver of engagement and usage. They present a rich and diverse set of data that further enhances the live tv-viewing experience.
The core concept is to keep the video experience front and center, but then further extend it by adding light level of interactivity, contextually relevant data (like scores and stats) and relevant video clips.
For over three years, I have been the lead designer for this initiative. I started off with creating a design framework, collaborating with product and technology groups, and shipping these experiences on a regular basis.
Though over time my focus shifted to defining the roadmap, and mentoring junior designers throughout the process.
